About
Our Network Analyzer measures latency which is more important to voip than bandwidth
Bandwidth measures how much information you can send and receive, latency determines how fast that information travels
A typical mobile phone call averages about 250ms (milliseconds) of latency, land lines around 50ms, we want customers to have a average latency below 250ms
Why is latency so important? Consider 3000ms of latency, this means that audio is delayed by 3 seconds
Our test doesn't rely on your web browser or computer like internet speed tests but rather uses our service to analyze the route to your network
If you are using all of your available bandwidth the latency will be high and with plenty of available bandwidth the latency will be low
Results are subjective to your internet connection's current usage
